Lotus pose #Repost @inflexibleyogis • • • • • • Lotus pose is seen as the classic yoga posture but it is actually quite challenging! Thanks for sharing @miss_sunitha #inflexibleyogis ・・・ Working towards #Padmasana or Lotus Pose . There are lots of poses (as shown here ) that can help in working towards lotus pose. But one of the main thing to take into consideration when working on these hip openers is subtle and deep awareness of the outer hip. . It’s very easy to end up with pain in the knee if these poses are not done with awareness of the outer hip rotation. Sometimes we end up focusing on pressing the knee out, which tends to be the cause for a lot of knee injuries in yoga. . Instead of focusing on the position of the knee, work instead on: . 1️⃣ Rotation of outer hip Think about rotating the outer hip out and down. Especially in seated poses (from pose 6 onwards ) work on grounding the hip of the folded leg down and back, as if you’re trying to ground both hips down equally and moving the weight of the body back. As you do that, consciously rotate the outer hip (not knee! ) out. . 2️⃣ Core (aka mula bandha in yoga ) awareness Core still plays a role in hip openers, especially active hip openers. In every pose where you’re folding forward, lift the base of the pelvic foot to create space in order to subtly move the hips back a little bit more. This subtle core awareness can create more depth in your hip openers, especially in an active pose like lotus. . I would recommend staying in each pose for at least 5 breaths, and working with the breath to find more depth and ease in each pose. Every inhalation feel the subtle lift of energy upwards, and every exhalation find a little bit more depth while maintaining that upward energy. . Make sure to work both side equally!

Una vez en un monólogo sobre alcanzar tus sueños escuché “cuando te despiertes no mires el móvil, primero haz algunas cosas productivas de tu lista de quehaceres, porque una vez abres las redes sociales, entras en el infinito.” El tiempo es relativo para cada espectador, pero cuando hablamos del tiempo dentro de un teléfono móvil, parece que nos estemos adentrando en un agujero negro en el que el tiempo se detiene ( para nosotros, porque ahí fuera el mundo sigue ), han pasado tres horas y tú aún sigues yendo de una información a otra sin llegar a ningún puerto, y lo peor de todo, es que toda esa información la mayoría de las veces no sirve para nada. Hoy en día podéis consultar cuánto rato al día dedicáis a Instagram o cualquier otra red social ( sin contar el tiempo que cuesta crear buen contenido, hacer fotos, editar fotos, escribir... ) Luego pensar en que podríais haber hecho con todo ese tiempo perdido en el agujero negro. Pasar tiempo de calidad con relaciones tangibles. Leer un buen libro con información que vosotros mismos habéis seleccionado, por lo tanto, es de vuestro interés. Ir al museo, al cine, a un concierto o cualquier actividad que estimule tus sentidos. Descansar el cuerpo y la mente. Pasar un rato conectando con la naturaleza. Pasar tiempo con familiares y seres queridos ( y escucharles, teléfono en el bolso ). Day 4 #alovelyearth challenge feat. Pasmasana or lotus pose 🌸 Inquiry: no mud, no flower. From what difficult experience, did something bloom in your life? .. .. That's an easy one for me to answer: my child. Every woman has her own birth story, unique yet almost always similar to so many women + there is comfort in that (mama's REACH OUT TO YOUR COMMUNITY if you are struggling pp ). My entire pregnancy was an ordeal: physically not that bad at all, but emotionally and mentally I struggled severely. And my son's birth was very traumatic for me, which ended in an emergency cesarean. Even 5 days post partum, the trauma continued as we were both readmitted, and I then spent 4 months with home care nurses before I healed, physically! So out of aaaaaaalllll that craziness + much more, my son is the greatest gift in my life. And the one thing I am forgever grateful for: he truly saved my life. 🌸🙏 .. .. [🇬🇧🔽] • La verità è che praticare yoga in barca è una grandissima cazzata, con ogni oscillazione rischi di volare in acqua, per fare questa foto avevo una persona che gridava “ondeeee” ogni volta che arrivavano per non rischiare di finire giù. Insomma. No, questo non è yoga. Questo è Carolina che pensa: “oddio sto facendo una cagata pazzesca”. Amen. E l’ho pubblicata proprio per dirvi: vedete quanto è facile fare una foto che sembri mezza yogica anche quando non è vero? Basta una frazione di secondo di click per sembrare in uno stato di grazia. Occhi chiusi e fior di loto. E via. Uno yogi! • Ecco no. Non funziona così. Non fatevi ingannare. Quello che vedete su questo social è MOLTO facilmente alterabile. Non fatevi ingannare da un viso rilassato, da qualche like e qualche follower. Usate la testa. Se volete capire se quella persona pratica yoga... fatele delle DOMANDE. Es que la gente no puede ser Seria. 🤷🏻‍♂️ no les había contado que en la practica de #yoga se tienen unas técnicas de respiración llamadas #pranayama y que la respiración circular no es la única... que en cuanto a su geometría las hay cuadrada y triangulares. Aca tienen una triangular. Inhalas (puraka ) Exhalas para llegar al fondo (Rechaka ) y retención si aire (Bahir Kumbhaka ) para quedar en el fondo como un lastre. Ves el mundo de otra manera cuando aprendes algunas cosas de Yoga. Y la gente pensando que yo jugaba 🤷🏻‍♂️.... como que nunca han experimentado la sensación de una retención sin aire. Una de las cosas que como profesor (de cualquier disciplina ) siempre debes hacer con frecuencia es: seguir practicando, seguir aprendiendo, seguir siendo curioso... seguir siendo estudiante. A veces, entre el trabajo de 8 a 5, entre las clases que puedo dar, entre todo lo que quisiera aprender, es normal sentirme exhausto sin querer practicar. Pero el ser humano crea tiempo para lo que quiere. Y uno puede ser creativo en la manera que crea ese tiempo. Por ejemplo, practicar durante el savasana de mis estudiantes: un espacio de silencio, de observacion, de mucha introspección. Bella práctica de Domingo en @mandalapanama 🖤!

Говорят, дхарма, предназначение человека, заключается в духовном пути. Основное отличие человеческого существа от животных - разум, позволяющий разделять хорошее и плохое, делать осознанный выбор. Животные живут инстинктами. Им неведомы душевные метания и муки выбора между верным и легким, их поступки предопределены их природой - и это естественно. Но человек, живущий подобным образом, следующий только инстинктам, но не руководствующийся разумом, не только не превосходит животное, но и оказывается хуже его. Животные следуют своей дхарме, живут в согласии со своей природой. Человек же, уподобившийся животному, понапрасну растачивает уникальные возможности, которые были ему даны. Это как сидеть на куче золота и питаться лапшой быстрого приготовления. Как понятно все на словах! Вот только как определить, что руководит мной в каждый момент времени? Шри Шри Анандамурти определил хорошие поступки как те, которые ведут к совершенству. Сейчас, когда я пишу этот пост, я развиваюсь или деградирую? А когда иду утром на работу? А когда ем свой рис? Одно и то же явление может быть как хорошим, так и плохим, в зависимости от обстоятельств. Когда я делаю дома уборку, привожу свое жилище в порядок, это положительные действия. Но если я занимаюсь этим в то время, как кому-то очень нужна моя помощь, будет ли это хорошо? Но ведь кому-то постоянно нужна помощь, значит ли это, что мой дом обречен потонуть в грязи? Где грань? Как найти оптимум в многокритериальной системе данных? Сейчас я просто медитирую и надеюсь, что ответы сами придут ко мне. 🍃Toda la sabiduría está dentro de mi. . el cúmulo de información externa que obtengo a diario no es conocimiento , es solo información que al entrar en contacto con mis sentidos el cerebro enseguida la pasa por el filtro de mis condicionamientos y el resultado se almacena en mi inconsciente para ir creando mi realidad circundante y a mi personalidad (ego ). . 🍃muchas veces creo saber algo que no he experimentado y para mi algo que no he experimentado no es certero, por ende , no estoy en capacidad de defender ,afirmar o negar , solo lo comparto como parte de un intercambio de información , teniendo claro que mi opinión es completamente basada en procesos mentales más no en una comprensión total, ya que esta última implica experimentar el hecho en si. . 🍃el conocimiento real es la experiencia misma , para mí eso es el entendimiento , por ejemplo, cuando logro conectar conmigo, cuando me observo y me comprendo desde adentro es cuando verdaderamente comienza un proceso de conocimiento real sobre mi y mi realidad ,es ahí donde crezco, evoluciono porque me transformo desde la sabiduría interior que se encuentra en mi esencia. . 🍃La meditación nos ayuda a trabajar la atención sobre nosotros mismos, en consecuencia a desarrollar capacidad para sentir ,observar , estar atentos a nuestra experiencia en este plano físico y los más sutiles. Así , poco a poco , con constancia en la práctica de meditación , comenzamos a conectar con nuestro maestro interior, obteniendo capacidad de discernimiento y sabiduría ante los estímulos que tenemos en el día a día. . 🍃esa conexión con nosotros mismos nos muestra el camino a seguir .cuando logramos escucharla le llamamos intuición o sexto sentido, el cual no se basa en razonar , se basa en la conexión conmigo y cuando la descubro me permito dejar brillar el sol escondido en mi interior. . 🍃algo más que quería compartir ➡️ tengo días despertando con esta canción en mi mente: “Ábrete corazón, ábrete entendimiento, deja a un lado la razón y deja brillar el sol escondido en tu interior” ✨ Sentí la necesidad de compartirla por acá porque si alguien la necesita le hará bien escucharla. Padmasana (Lotus Pose ) derives from the Sanskrit words "padma," meaning "lotus" and "asana," meaning "pose". The lotus symbolizes growth towards perfection and enlightenment as it is rooted in the mud, but rises to rest above the water as a beautiful flower in the sunlight. Padmasana is considered a metaphor for the unfolding experience of yoga. ⁠ ⁠ This seated pose strengthens the ankles, legs, and core while stretching the hips. According to the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, written in the 15th century, the pose also causes the body to press into the acupuncture points of the stomach, gallbladder, spleen, kidneys, and liver.
