Viviamo in una società e in un periodo del nostro mondo in cui purtroppo il "peso" è ancora un fattore in qualche senso...discriminante... Che da una parte curare la propria composizione corporea per preservare la propria salute sia assolutamente giusto e auspicabile ok, ma spesso, se non sempre, capita che le persone in evidente sovrappeso vengano in qualche modo emarginate, derise o cmq non apprezzate alla stessa stregua di chi si presenta "in forma" a prescindere da tutto il resto. Di conseguenza chi si trova in questa condizione (salvo chi possiede una grandissima, enorme autostima ), si ritrova a dover combattere per tutta la vita con i chili di troppo, maledicendo la natura, il destino, il karma e tutto il possibile imputabile per la propria sorte. Ma in realtà.... seppur gran parte dipende dalla genetica e dall'ambiente nel quale siamo cresciuti, il problema di chi vorrebbe cambiare ma non riesce è.... l' ignoranza!😑 Che non dipende certo da noi, ma da tutte le boiate che ci vengono da anni propinate come rimedi miracolosi, diete strategiche, intrugli e pillole magici, sistemi dimagranti assurdi, "allenamenti"in cui non si fa fatica e non si suda... 🤦🏻‍♀️ Quando tutti noi sappiamo benissimo che niente è mai regalato in questa vita, che tutto va conquistato con impegno, costanza, dedizione, tempo e anche denaro... E soprattutto che per ottenere qualcosa di REALE e DURATURO bisogna SAPERE COSA FARE!!!! Bisogna fare tanto cardio per avere il corpo che sogni da sempre? Oppure circuiti? Bisogna usare sovraccarichi? Quali? Quante volte a settimana allenarsi e come per avere risultati?🤔 Bisogna mangiare low carb, low fat, low tutto? Tante proteine fanno male? Bisogna rinunciare a tutto quello che ci piace per sempre per essere come vorremmo? Gli integratori servono? Sono uguali per tutti? With our abundance of blackberries, I’ve been going a little crazy with blackberry recipes. Can’t believe how good fresh wild blackberries are! One heaping tablespoon of this jam has 18 calories and 0.5F, 2.9C, 0.7P. Blackberry Jam (276 calories per jar ) 8F, 44C, 11P 🔹350g Blackberries 🔹2 Tbsp Chia Seeds 🔹Optional: 1 Tbsp no calorie sweetener (I used Truvia ) Put blackberries and your choice of sweetener in small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until blackberries have broken down and release liquid. This will take about 5 minutes. Bring blackberry sauce to a boil and continue to stir until most of the liquid boils off and you are left with a thickened sauce. Add chia seeds and continue to stir over heat for another 1 – 2 minutes. Let cool to room temperature, then store in fridge. This week I'm going to be trying out @dailyharvest ! Over the next couple of months I'm going to be trying out a few different smoothie/health-focused food delivery services. And of course, first up is Daily Harvest. They are by far the most popular smoothie delivery service promoted on Instagram. They're providing exactly what I want to get out of the plans I have: Something that takes barely minutes to prepare, something GOOD for me, and something to keep me on track and motivated. Their food plans on the whole are much cheaper than what I would spend for a week of food. I'd much rather be sipping on a delicious smoothie than horking down empty carbs and take-out. Something that was really important for me was being able to eat something good for me without the prep. At the moment I am struggling with some hardcore fatigue, and I find it hard to get out and around. Treating the body just as you would the mind and the spirit is so important. 🔸 While on this “vacation” I’ve tried to push away the idea that you should eat junk food because it’s vacation and that’s what vacation is for. I don’t feel guilty if I indulge in the classic camp foods(marshmallows, burgers, brats..all vegan of course ). But, I have consumed so many colorful, plant-based, nutrient-dense foods as well. It may not always be the easiest immediate choice, but neither is meditation, journaling, hiking, canoeing, climbing, or being present. We do these things because we know how it makes the rest of our lives easier. 🔸 If the point of a vacation is to give our minds a break from our everyday stress, we should be recharging our bodies with these foods while we’re at our destination. That way when we get back to those stresses, we are better equipped to handle them. 🔸 This a lemon-broccoli pasta from @freshoffthegrid It was so stinkin good. The lemon zest brightens all of the natural flavors! (thank you Sora for your sacrifice in the making of this recipe ). I added some fresh mango and local tomato on the side as bonuses. FRESH BLACKBERRY PIE🥧I seriously have so much respect for people who make pies for a living, because making this was no easy task😅There truly is an art to making the perfect pie crust and I have definitely not yet mastered it🤫I made this pie while at my cabin this week because we have a massive bush of blackberries surrounding us✨Although its not the prettiest pie, it still tasted delicious and I am excited to try again next week when I’m back down there☀️HAPPY THURSDAY💕

Yoga for 30 Days - 5 Takeaways 🧘🏻‍♀️ Do you practice yoga daily? Have you ever tried to?⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Yesterday I finished @fightmasteryoga ’s 30 day yoga fix challenge, and I thought I’d share 5 of my takeaways from the experience:⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 1️⃣ There’s always room to grow 🌱 - Sometimes I think I’m pretty good at yoga. But then there’d be days when Lesley would include some crazy balancing twist that I couldn’t even begin to attempt, and I would feel like a beginner again. But I love that there’s always room to grow and improve in yoga! It’d get pretty boring otherwise.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 2️⃣ Yoga really is strengthening 💪 - You may not think it looks like it can build muscle, but daily yoga definitely makes me feel stronger! My chaturanga is what I noticed improving the most over the 30 days.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 3️⃣ 20 minute flows are my current happy length ⏱ - I could go through a practice without my mind wandering too much and feeling pretty present, which for me is amazing! Hopefully someday I can increase that duration, but for now 20 mins is working for me.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 4️⃣ A good quality mat transforms the flow 🌳 - I recently started using a @yogi bare mat (won in a giveaway from @prodirectfit 🤗 ) and it has made SUCH a difference. Before that I was using an 8+ year old mat, or sometimes would just practice on the floor 🙈 Having a mat that’s cushy and supportive not only makes me want to get on it every morning, but makes the practice itself feel much more centred and grounded.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 5️⃣ Don’t skimp on shavasana ✨ - One of the things I loved most about these videos is that Lesley included shavasana at the end of every practice. I’ve done other yoga videos where the instructor will leave the option open for the practicer and end the video before it. I get why, but for me if shavasana is not included, it doesn’t happen - I’m too antsy to get to all the other things in life that need doing! So having a flow naturally end in shavasana and to be given just a couple of minutes to lie on the floor, to not do or think about anything…it’s absolute bliss.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Those are some of my thoughts after completing the 30 day fix - have you done one yourself? Uğraşırken keyif aldığım, zevkle fotoğrafladığımda da ortaya bu güzel ve bir o kadar da lezzetli kareler ortaya çıkıyor. 😊 ŞEKERSİZ ELMALI TURTA 🥧 Malzemeler 🥧 4 adet kabuğu soyulup rendelenmiş elma 🥧 1 tatlı kaşığı tarçın 🥧 250 gr bal 🥧 1 paket vanilya 🥧 1 paket kabartma tozu 🥧 4 yemek kaşığı tereyağı (önceden buzdolabından çıkarın oda sıcaklığında yumuşasın ) 🥧 2 yumurta 🥧 yaklaşık 4,5 - 5 su bardağı un( siz yinede yavaş ekleyerek alabildiği kadar koyun ) Yapılışı Rendelediğiniz Elmaları tavada pişirin, piştikten sonra tarçını ekleyip soğumaya bırakın. Daha sonra bir kabın içine önceden çıkardığınız tereyağını alın ve üzerine iki yumurtayı kırın, tereyağı ve yumurtayı elimizle harmanlayın. Üzerine kabartma tozu,vanilya ve balı ekleyip karıştırın, yavaş yavaş ununu ilave edin. Yumuşak bir hamur elde edeceğiz. Ardından hamuru ikiye bölün, bir parçasını buzluğa koyun. Kalan parçayı da yağladığımız turta kabına güzelce yayın. Üzerine soğumaya bıraktığımız tarçınlı elma karışımını yayın. En son buzluktaki hamuru alın, küçük küçük parçalar halinde koparıp uzun çubuklar elde ederek kafes şeklini verin. 170 derece fırında yaklaşık 25-30 dakika kadar pişirin.
