Been feeling uninspired with my meals for awhile now but I'm finally feeling like I'm coming out of the funk and feeling good in the kitchen again! Tonight's dinner was something fun and new and SO good. I cooked some cauli rice in coconut oil, garlic, salt, tiny bit of chicken broth and chili flakes then when it was done tossed in some pineapple and green onions. Topped it with pulled pork from the slow cooker (I do a basic seasoning on it so I can use it for multiple meals, beef broth onions s+p ). Mixed hot sauce with coconut aminos and fish sauce and drizzled on top then added some kimchee on the side. YUM.

This is super lame but I'm proud of myself! I walked home from school today(4.4kms )! It took probably an hour with all the red lights I hit lol. My whole body is sore but I'm proud. I walked fast the whole way, sweat buckets and didn't stop other than for the red lights lol. I annoy my friends with taking pictures so much but there’s something so lovely about capturing the beauty in the world. I’m trying to spend more time actually enjoying life rather than photographing it, but sometimes a perfect moment needs to be documented. ••• In other news, my week has started out pretty well. I cooked and baked a lot over the weekend, spent time with friends, did some homework, and watched the first few episodes of Jane the Virgin. Yesterday, I felt pretty lazy but I made up for that today. I spent all day in classes and then went directly to my school’s networking night to prepare for a careers & internship fair tomorrow. I just finished working out and doing laundry, and I still have to perfect my resume and pitch and work on an essay before going to bed. As crazy as this semester is starting to get, I’m trying my absolute hardest to maintain healthy habits and keep myself sane. Any tips for staying healthy (mentally and physically ) when life gets a little crazy?

You asked, and you shall receive! I've just posted this on my business page, but since I haven't published it to the public yet, I wanted to let you know you were heard! Recovery Post Workout: Food or Supplements? Is it really worth the cost? I say save your money! Although there are some really great supplement products on the market (1st Phorm is one of my faves, and they have amazing flavors ). I will always recommend whole foods over supplements for post-workout meals. Here's why: Your body uses up your glycogen stores for energy during your workout, so you want to replenish your glycogen pretty quick afterward. Consuming carbs within 30 mins will restore proper glycogen resynthesis. Insulin secretion also promotes glycogen synthesis, so it is better stimulated when protein and carbs are consumed at the same time. So, it is optimal to consume protein and carbs to maximize protein and glycogen synthesis for those big muscle GAINZ. Glycogen is shuttled straight to the muscles after a workout. If you deprive your muscles of glycogen after your workout, you begin to promote a catabolic state instead of an anabolic state. Remember, maintaining an anabolic state is what will burn fat for energy instead of muscle. If you're not well educated in the protein manufacturing process, you may be doing your body less good, and therefore, not see results. Most of the cheaper products are poor quality protein. However, they are super convenient if you just can't get a meal in, in a 45 minute window. I don't mind paying a little extra for a great quality whey protein with delicious flavor for those moments when a meal is not readily available. I always carry a shaker with a scoop of my favorite protein, and a bag of rice rollers, just in case! Here are some great post-workout meals to feed your muscles! * Grilled boneless, skinless chicken breast & Veggies * Egg White Omelette & potatoes * Turkey & Sweet potato * Shrimp/fish and rice * Any lean white protein and unprocessed carb (if it doesn't come straight from the ground, don't eat it ).

Necesitas🗣🙆🏻‍♂️: ✅3 huevos. ✅1 pote de yogurt descremado neutro o de vainilla. ✅1/2 taza de aceite neutro ( girasol o maiz ). ✅1 1/2 taza de harina leudante extrafina. ✅1 cucharita de polvo de hornear. ✅7 cucharitas de edulzante en polvo apto para cocción. ✅1 cucharita de vainilla. ..................................................... . Preparación🌈❤️: 🗣 incorporar 2 huevos y la yema del tercero en conjunto con el yogur y batir hasta llegar a una pomada, luego agregar el aceite y la esencia de vainilla e integrar bien. 🗣Agregar la ralladura de un limón y batir. 🗣En otro recipiente incorporar el endulzante, la harina y el polvo de hornear y tamizarlos. 🗣Luego agregar a la preparación de forma suave y envolvente. 🗣La clara que nos sobró la vamos a llevar a punto nieve en otro recipiente y suavemente la incorporamos a la preparación. 🗣Rociar una budinera con roció vegetal y colocar la mezcla en ella. 🗣Hornear por 25 a 30min a fuego moderado ( 180 grados centígrados ). 🗣Dejar enfriar por 10min, desmoldar, servir y DISFRUTAR. ........................................................ . . 😍🌈🙈Espero que les guste no olvides de mandarme tu foto y arrobar a quien recomendarías esta preparación en un comentario😍😊❤️. And when it comes to bread (like many other things ), ingredients are SUPER important! ⚡️Go for ORGANIC! ⚡️Skip the white & spring for WHOLE WHEAT🌾 ⚡️Aim for less than 300mg sodium per serving🧂 ⚡️5g+ fiber is GOALS. . . My faaaavorite brand for bread is 100% @daveskillerbread 🙌🏻 It’s organic, packs in protein, fiber, whole grains, andddd is free of any artificial ingredients.
