“Workout with your kids, they’re not excuses, they’re sponges, let’s lead by example. Kids don’t see it as working out, they see it as spending quality time with their mummy and daddy”. This morning I was asked the following, “ dad, can me and my mates join you in the gym today”, I was absolute made up. This is exactly what I would like to do in the future, promote fitness into a kids life - my day just couldn’t of got any better. 🙌🏻 Children need to be active every day to promote healthy growth and development. Kids who establish healthy lifestyle patterns at a young age will hopefully carry them throughout their life, and this includes all the benefits that come with having a healthy lifestyle. Guide and monitor your children’s health, parents need to take responsibility to initiate healthy habits for their children’s physical health and well-being. Today was nothing strenuous , a short 20 mins all body workout. Which involved short 1-2 mins break every 5 mins, the kids loved it and they’ve all asked “can we come again tomorrow”. My work for today is done 🙌🏻❤️ “Teaching kids about health and fitness is so important to me, it’s about getting them fit and healthy for whatever life throws at them. ⚡TIME SAVING HOME CIRCUITS by @coachstrumos **For daily tips to make you stronger and more mobile, follow @CoachStrumos When time is tight, you can still get a great workout, even without equipment. Simply do what I call “paired circuits”. Choose 2 exercises and complete as many reps as you can for 30 seconds back to back. Only after you’ve finished both exercises will you rest. If you rest for 1 minute between circuit rounds it will look like this: Exercise 1 - 30 seconds Exercise 2 - 30 seconds Rest - 60 seconds Circuit total - 2 minutes (x 5 rounds ) Total time = 10 minutes Even if you can’t make it to the gym, you can get a solid workout with just your bodyweight and a floor. You can adjust your rest time and total number of rounds as necessary.
