#repost @saintsmadmomma ・・・ I enjoyed a beautiful and eerily still sunrise at Durdle Door this morning. It’s the first time I’ve ever stood on this cliff and not felt a breath of wind. My weather app promised high cloud but setting off in the dark all I could see was twinkling stars. Thankfully the app was right! ... ... ... ... ... ... ... #pinkskies #sunrise #durdledoor #lulworthcove #dorset #lovefordorset #exploredorset #igersdorset #dramaticdorset #visitdorset #capturingbritain #country_features #explore_countryside #explore_britain #britains_talent #bestukpics #bestunitedkingdom #ukpotd #ukshots #ukshooters #ukscenery #uk_greatshots #gloriousbritain #1ukshot #photosofengland #photosofbritain #instabritain #yourbritain #thepipas2019

So yesterday was all about playing fun golf, going out for a meal and all the rest of the birthday celebrations for my newly 10 year old lad ... . ... whereas today has been all about seeing my eldest lad off to Reading Festival, getting the car fixed, cleaning out 2 freezers ‘cos one’s just died, and attempting to recapture our goats before they ate all my flowers ... . So an escape to the beach was very much needed! . And where better to visit than Beer? Gorgeous! . Hope you had a fab day ✨

Smashed the very tough 2300ft 'Pap of Glencoe', a great personal achievement for me! 😉📷⛰️👏👏 Heavy rain earlier turned the path to a stream and I wouldn't have attempted the summit alone if the nice chap Simon I met on route hadn't been there. Very steep scramble to the summit but it felt amazing seeing the beautiful 360° view. This one looking down Loch Leven to Kinlochleven. When climbing I kept looking back at how far I'd come and realise that's true for my life as well... #papofglencoe #summit #nature #goodvibes #kingshousehotel #glencoe #highlands #beautiful #adventure #positive #live #beautifulscotland #brilliantmoments #photooftheday #britains_talent #loves_scotland #instascotland #visitscotland #scotspirit #ig_scotland #scottishroamers #scotlandshots #scotlandmagazine #capturingbritain #gloriousbritain #unlimitedscotland #uk_greatshots @visitscotland

With summer🐞 in full flow, 8️⃣3️⃣ miles NW↖️of London, along the A1 Great North Road🛣, the small village of ‘Tickencote’-Rutland, shows off its mid summer sunset to all who pass. ❤️🥀🌅🥀❤️ Although Tickencote’s unpromising☹️ entrance begins with a bus shelter🚏 on an A1 slip road, the village picturesquely opens up on its southern slope to fields of flaming🔥 iridescent poppies. 🥀🥀🥀🌅 ‘Tickencote’ is old English📖 and means a location where goats 🐐 were herded when England was one big forest. 🌲🌲🌲👩🏼‍🌾 At 1293 acres, Tickencote is about half the size of Richmond Park and 4 times bigger than Hyde park in London. 📐 Just 2 miles to the SE↘️ is one of Europe’s finest medieval towns. 🏰 Stamford, Lincolnshire is where both ‘Pride and Prejudice’(2005 ) and ‘The Da Vinci Code’(2006 ) were filmed and a beautiful location well worth a visit! 🚗💨 Photo location credit @indiaexplorer ————————————————— #tickencote #rutland #gloriousbritain #poppyfield #naturelovers #leicestermercury #ukpotd #igerslincolnshire #capturingbritain #capturingbritain_rural #capturingbritain_nature #capturingbritain_urban #london #chilloutlondon #london_gurus #londonblogger #prettycitylondon #igerskent #igerssurrey #london_only #london4all #london_enthusiast #london_masters #londonist #londonfoodie #prettylittlelondon #igerslondon #ロンドン

Amid the dog days of summer🥵, the beautiful sight😍of dainty sky blue flax blossom blanket the Leicestershire🦊countryside in Hinckley. 💙🦋💙🧩 The fleeting lifespan⏳of each 5 petal flower is transitory, lasting less than a day! 📆😫 Textile made from these pretty plants are known as ‘Linen’. 🌱🧵 It’s oil is known as ‘Linseed Oil’. 🧪 In any case, Hinckley is located 89 miles NNW⬆️↖️ of London, half way between Coventry and Leicester. 🚙 It’s well situated location has made it a popular place for industry. 🏭🔧 For example, Hinckley has been the centre of the hosiery industry since the 1600’s & houses the oldest hosiery factory in the world. 🏭✨ 🧶 In 1983, Triumph Motorcycles Ltd was also established in Hinckley & is the UK’s largest motorcycle company. 🏍💨💨💨 The ‘Hansom Cab’ too was invented and produced in Hinckley in 1835. 🚕 While not exactly a tourist location, Hinckley resides🏡next to quintessential English countryside well worth the stop for phenomenal fields of flax. 🦋 ————————————————— #hinckley #leicestershire #leicestermercury #nottinghampost #naturelovers #ukpotd #capturingbritain #capturingbritain_rural #capturingbritain_nature #capturingbritain_urban #igersleicester #igerskent #igerssurrey #london #londonpop #london_only #london_enthusiast #londonblogger #gloriousbritain #london_gurus #london_nature #london_masters #london_city_photo #london4all #prettycitylondon #timeoutlondon #ロンドン #mynottingham #visitleicestershire #bbceastmidlands

Nestled in the shadow of Bredon Hill🌋 in the South Worcestershire countryside🐝, a huge 1000 acre field of delphiniums carpet the Wyke Manor Estate. 💜❤️💚💐💛💙🧡 So large a farm the Wyke Manor is, that in 2004 the estate held the Guinness World record for the largest carpet of flowers. 🌺🌸🥇🌼🌹 Unfortunately, Wyke Manor Estate is open only for 10 days each July. 📅😫 Nonetheless, the story of this flower farm began one late spring afternoon in 1997. 🌸🕰 Charles Hudson was looking for ways to expand💹the farm on his family estate. 🤔💭 Charles paused outside the village churchyard on his way home. 👣⏸ Scattered around the yard were tiny wet pieces of coloured paper🌈, debris from an earlier wedding. 🎉🤵🏻👰🏼🎊 The debris had turned the church into an eyesore. 🥺 When he arrived home🏡, some petals🌸fell from the flower bouquet he was carrying for his wife. 💐 Just then, Charles experienced a ‘Eureka’ moment! - 🥳 It was this idea💡 that led to the birth of ‘The Real Flower Petal Confetti Company’. 🤑🏭 Over the years The Real Flower Petal Confetti Company has supplied natural confetti to countless weddings. 🚚💨 For example, Catherine Zeta Jones & Michael Douglas (Nov 2000 ) 🌸 Madonna & Guy Ritchie ( Dec 2000 ) 🌼 and Charles & Camilla (Apr 2005 )🌺 ————————————————— #worcestershire #wykemanorestate #naturelovers #capturingbritain #capturingbritain_rural #capturingbritain_nature #capturingbritain_urban #chilloutlondon #gloriousbritain #ukpotd #igersworcestershire #discoverworcestershire #visitworcestershire #igerssurrey #igerskent #london_only #londonpop #londonblogger #london_enthusiast #london4all #londonnature #londonlive #prettycitylondon #londonist #london_gurus #london_masters #ロンドン
