When @gazzellie took first overall in the 50K Ultra, the surprised race organizers realized they had no trophy for the first place male. “I felt bad that the first place man didn’t have one, so I tried to convince them to blot out the ‘fe’ on ‘female,’ but they said to just keep both trophies.” ⇨Link in bio to her story.
#regram @runnersworldcoach The 400m dash is hard no matter who you are or how fast you are. When you put 10/10 effort into one strong lap, it’s going to hurt • Meeting @af85 and talking about the importance of interval training, discipline and HARD WORK was such a cool experience. @karagoucher called her #Leadville debut the "hardest thing I ever accomplished." Bouts of vomiting from altitude sickness made the Olympian consider dropping out, but she pushed through for a fifth-place finish. “I’ve never been so low and continued on, so I guess I found out that I’m tougher than I thought. I think of myself as a pretty tough person, but I’ve never been in such a pain cave as I was yesterday. I mean, I was in such a dark place that I’ve never experienced before.” ⇨Link in bio to full story. 📸: @trappephoto
Jon Sutherland started his #RunStreak on May 26, 1969. Five decades later, he’s still going...
@gigrunewald told us in April, "For me, hope is all about doing what we can to make the world a better place tomorrow and for the people who come after us." Okay running community, let's do this for her with @chipgaines and support @bravelikegabe & @StJude (link: https://magnolia.com/chipinchallenge/ ) #Regram ・・・ More than 10 years ago, my friend @gigrunewald was diagnosed with an extremely rare form of cancer. I understand that Gabe is not a patient at @StJude , but right now, she is fighting for her life. Cancer is ugly and it is mean and it doesn’t fight fair. This has gotten extremely personal.. so here’s what I’m going to do about it: I want us to hit that $500K mark by midnight tonight. So I will be personally matching all #ChipInChallenge donations made between now and midnight. ON TOP OF THAT, I'll also be matching that amount in the form of a donation to the #BraveLikeGabe Foundation, in Gabe's honor. That is 3x the power of your generosity in the fight against cancer.. and all YOU need to do is donate whatever you can to the #ChipInChallenge (link in bio ) between now and midnight CT. I’ll take care of the rest. Together, we’re going to fight for those who are fighting for just one more day. This is for those precious kids at St. Jude.. we are pulling for you! And to my beautiful friend Gabe.. we love you and | @chipgaines
