Loggerhead sea turtles like this one @riverbankszoo are just one of seven sea turtle species you are helping to save by reducing your use of plastic products! Each plastic bag, bottle, or straw you skip is one less that could make its way into the ocean, protecting a species that has travelled our seas for over 100 million years. Like sea turtles around the globe, Atlantic loggerhead turtles play a vital role in marine ecosystems, maintaining the health of coral reefs and seagrass beds. Write in below to let us know how your efforts to reduce your plastic consumption are going! #worldseaturtleweek #loggerhead #seaturtle #planetorplastic #skipthestraw #plasticsreduction #oceanprotector #atlantic #turtle #savetogether #photoark

Bar shampoo. It lasts a long time and no plastic packaging.

I will never understand the complaints of people who demand their damn rights to a plastic straw. Even if it didn’t make a difference but we think it might I’ll give them up. But what if it does make a difference and some idiot believes their rights matter more than the life of everything on earth? I’m amazed at the redneck attitude in this world

Trying to do my part by using reusable silicone food storage bags, mesh produce bags, reusable grocery bags, and metal straws! 🌎❤️

Using a bar of soap with a scrubber for dishes instead of liquid soap from a plastic bottle.

Using lunch box, metal straw. I'm trying to cutting down on the usage of nylon bags, too. In Vietnam, it's difficult sometimes to refuse to use these bags as people are so accustomed to them. Some may behave badly if you tell them not to put your breakfast into a nylon bag😪

Beautiful photo! My efforts are going well! I've successfully switched to shampoo and conditioner bars, bamboo toothbrushes, and deodorant with a reusable case. Small steps in the right direction 💚🌎

One of my favorite plastic-free products is the bamboo fiber dental floss in a glass bottle by Lucky Teeth. No silk, no plastic, and it tastes like peppermint. Treat yourself! And save some turtles. 🐢

I cover half used fruits and veggies with lemon juice then a coffee filter as a temporary cover for one or two days in the fridge rather than use plastic wrap

food wrappings are the hardest. buying in bulk, making our own snacks, having reusable bags are helping. It's been years since we started using reusable drink containers, water and hot beverage. No lids no bags please!
