No better way to spend a summer night in Colorado than under a colorstorm sky 🤙🏼 Crazy to think it’s already August, still so many adventures that need to be had

Who said Aspen is only colorful in the fall? 🤔 Colorado’s wildflowers are finally coming out to play state wide 🙏🏼

After arriving late Saturday morning to Moab and endlessly searching for a campsite, we decided to give up and try to enjoy what remaining daylight we had left. With no plan and nowhere to be we headed to Fisher Towers for a sunset hike. Turns out this place is a pretty good spot for sunset 🤷🏻‍♂️🔥

• Cosmic Castles • First image using the star tracker and couldn’t be more stoked to get out and use it again. Excited to learn more about not only astrophotography but also astronomy. Had a telescope as a kid that I used to stare into for hours, so I guess things haven’t changed much. 🤷🏻‍♂️🔭 Lots to improve upon so I’m stoked for the summer months! - 📸Sony A7iii with Sony Zeiss f4 16-35mm Sky: 4 shots 180sec ISO 800 f4, tracked with the Star Adventurer and stacked with SLS. The Great Sand Dunes is one of my absolute favorite locations in Colorado. Went down last weekend for the first camping trip of the year and was blessed with some epic conditions. This is a composite image with the foreground image being taken this past weekend and the sky being taken last summer. The new moon can’t come soon enough 😛

Galactic Fissure 🌌 First Milky Way shot of the year! Headed out with @justinroams at 3:45am Sunday morning to some extremely clear skies up in Loveland Pass. - Super stoked for the astro season because l slacked on it pretty hard last summer. I plan on spending lots of nights under the stars improving my astrophotography skills. 📸 Sony A7III. 30” exposure. 2000 ISO. 10 shot stack.

The Desert Portal 🏜 Took a snowstorm, lost phone, and two hours of bush wacking through every prickly plant Arizona has to offer to find this place but it was all worth it in the end. Constantly amazed by all the unexplored beauty in the Southwest.

Have you heard? Colorado’s natural oasis Hanging Lake now requires a permit and reservation to visit. Over the years this place has become more and more popular becoming one of the most visited destinations in Colorado. Exponential amounts of tourism caused the Forest Service to team up with the City of Glenwood Springs to cap the number of visitors at 615 people per day. My new blog post with all the new rules and regulations is live. Link in bio. What do you think of the new rules and regulations?

There’s always those places that challenge you a little bit compositionally, where you gotta get a bit creative. This is one of those places. Basically in my backyard so anytime I see a decent sunset about to happen I head over to challenge myself creatively. This is a three shot focus blend. One for the foreground, one for the mountains, and one for the suns flare. Let me know what you think!

When Colorado gives you a taste of the PNW ⛰ Anxiously awaiting the warmer months. Summer means longer hikes, swimming in alpine lakes, camping with the best views, and even better memories. Whose ready? 🙋🏻‍♂️

🌴 Epic Sunset views in Turks & Caicos 🌴 The life of a creator at sunset gets hectic. Scrambling to get as many good shots as possible while also trying to get video content and then try to get the drone up all in the 30 minutes during sunset. Going from creating in the mountains to creating on a beach was a little weird and took some adjusting. From landscape to lifestyle, for me it doesn’t matter. I love it all. New environments means new ways of creating content and I love a challenge 👌🏼👊🏼

Snowy mornings at Devil’s Bridge. All these epic places you see on Instagram are seriously so much better in person and pictures really don’t do them justice. Woke up early hoping for an epic sunrise accompanied by the freshly fallen snow but instead we got some serious moodiness 🤤

Sunsets in the desert are unmatched. Nothing beats looking out over the vast canyons and watching the day fade away. Headed back to the desert this Friday to explore Sedona and I couldn’t be more stoked. What’s your next planned adventure? Let me know in the comments! 🏜

Blood Moon Rising Me and two of my very good pals set out to witness the lunar eclipse. Besides getting whipped in the face with ice crystals at 50mph and it being -5 degrees it was an epic night. This is a two shot blend, one for the foreground one for the moon. Foreground shot at 28mm and moon shot at 300mm. The wind and haze caused the moon to lose detail but I like the dreamy effect it ended up with. Who else witnessed this awesome phenomena? 🌕🔥🐺

Among Red Giants 🏜 Places like these are extremely humbling and can help put into perspective how small we are in such a large world. Although we are small, the actions we take to better future generations and preserve landscapes like this, can have a large effect. When you explore, remember to always respect the land. It was here long before we existed and will remain far after we pass.

Something about Utah and the desert landscapes always draws me back for more. I’ve seen this place countless times on Instagram but not even the best pictures can display its beauty and sheer mass. Got to enjoy this place all to ourselves with more than ideal conditions. Grateful would be an understatement. 🏜🙏🏼🔥🔥

A couple nights ago I asked @justinroams if he wanted to take the trail behind my house up into the woods to get some star shots. It was below zero, but we bundled up and went out anyways. Shortly after being on trail we noticed these pillars of light beaming up from @keystone_resort We were convinced it was aliens, then we thought it was some phenomena like the northern lights, and that’s exactly what it is. When light from the moon hits ice crystals in the air it creates this phenomena called “moon pillars”, or as I like to call them the “Western Lights”. Orion also decided to hang out and watch the magic with us. Stoked we were able to witness this. 🌕❄️

Blue hour hikes in frigid temperatures. We contemplated not going because of the temperature and the fact that there were no clouds but sometimes you gotta persevere to get the shot. There’s been too many times when I don’t go shoot because the conditions aren’t ideal, and those days are in the past. Sometimes I look around and I can’t be anything but grateful because I get to have experiences like this 🙌🏼😎❄️

2018 has had so many ups and downs. More downs then ups but It taught me so much about myself and about life in general. Wouldn’t have had it any other way. I’m now aware what I need and want in my life. Ready to start a new chapter of life in the mountains, and super stoked to finally call the mountains my home. 🗻🤙🏼

Got to enjoy these amazing hot springs all to ourselves for the first hour on a very snowy morning. We were there the night before, but it snowed 6 inches overnight so we had to go back. Being the first ones there definitely paid off ❄️
