Mental illness is not a sign of weakness, you can't "pull yourself together" and "get over it". Many are due to neurochemical imbalances and other biological processes. Why aren't diabetics, epileptics, asthmatics, cardiac failure patients, renal failure patients, liver failure patients etc told to "pull themselves together?"
