Canada’s oldest railway tunnel is now a beautiful lightshow! Just 90 minutes outside of Ottawa, Brockville railway tunnel is an impressive example of Canada’s pre-Confederation industrial heritage. ⁠ Nova Scotia is home to 160 lighthouses, but there is only one iconic Peggy’s Cove lighthouse. Located 45 minutes from downtown Halifax, this world-famous lighthouse was first constructed in 1868, and, while it’s not an active lighthouse today, it’s one of the most popular destinations in the province. A fantastic capture of the Canadian Parliament Buildings in our capital, Ottawa! ⁠ .⁠ Originally the site of a military base in the 18th and early 19th centuries, the buildings were officially opened in 1866 and were designed in a gothic revival style. Earlier this year, work began on a decade-long rehabilitation, however there are still two free guided tours on offer for you to explore and learn more about the Canadian government. Choose from a tour of the interim home of the House of Commons on Parliament Hill, or the interim home of the Senate, located in the Canada Building. “When you visit the East Block of Grasslands National Park it is a must that you find this epic lookout point before proceeding to explore the depths of the Valley of 1,000 Devils.” ⁠ . ⁠ Established in 1981, Grasslands National Park offers a wonderfully unique and dramatic landscape. Near streams, dense vegetation and berry patches, call out, clap and even sing!⁠ 🐕 Keep your dog on a leash. Unfortunately, your friendly pup can provoke a defensive behaviour.⁠ 🆒 If you see a bear, keep your cool. Speak calmly but firmly to the bear and make yourself appear big.
