It’s the end of 12 days in Iceland shooting with @chrisburkard @jefftaylr and @mattrfoley a story about @ellithor An awesome crew of friends to be creative with. This trip was my first visit to the south coast where the renowned waterfalls are, so I took the opportunity to get a close look at Skogafoss. . 📷 @jefftaylr
The band is getting back together! Stoked to see these guys soon. One of the things I am most thankful for in my job is the people I’ve worked along side of, who have become great friends. This is from the last time we were in the same place, looking for waves and northern lights in Under An Arctic Sky.
Flying past Pavlof Sister at eye level. For a moment everything was calm and serene, even though the weather is often violent here and the landscape is volcanically active. Our timing was fortunate - we flew during a clear weather window over the course of three days, documenting this stretch of the Alaskan Peninsula on the way to the Aleutians. @chrisburkard @_ryanhill_ @snackfarmer
From a @redbull “Chasing the Shot” episode in Ireland. We spent most of our time shooting along the well trodden coast that surfers often visit. But after the swell and surf passed, @sligokayaktours offered to show us some of the more quiet corners of the country. Posting up at this stone farm house was a 500 year step back into history.

This was my first time shooting surfing from a water angle in Iceland and also my first time shooting on a RED in a water housing. Total noob. I did my best to duck sets in a 6 mil, got flushed a few times, and made the long hike back up the hill in the snow. In the end only about 3 seconds of footage from the swim made it into the final cut for ‘Under An Arctic Sky’. But it was a lot of fun. 📸 @chrisburkard
Somewhere along the coast in Baja, a farmer showed us through a gate, to a road that he said was a “shortcut” out to the main road. He didn’t mention that the road went through steep mountains, wilderness, and some very sketchy sections. A secret back way. It ended up taking a lot longer than we had hoped, but I’ll never forget the scenery along the way.

Behind the scenes of “The Forgotten Archipelago”. @parkercoffin shot a clip of a set hitting a left point from the airplane window when we flew in. We spent a good part of our time in the islands trying to figure out where it was and how to access it.
Island hopping with @roark on the edge of the Southern Ocean. It’s the stepping off point to an archipelago of islands that are rugged, remote, blasted by wind, and home to a handful of very tough sheep farmers.
